Ratings are typically expressed as a percentage of the total number of households or individuals with televisions that are tuned into a particular program. This data is crucial for networks to make decisions about scheduling, advertising rates, and the overall success of their shows. **

This can be done through tactics such as creating multiple accounts to vote multiple times, using bots to submit fake ratings, or organizing coordinated efforts to influence the ratings. However, IMDb has measures in place to detect and combat such manipulation in order to maintain the integrity of their ratings system. **
