Some examples of diurnal rodents that live alone include the North American red squirrel, the eastern chipmunk, and the African striped grass mouse. These rodents are active during the day and typically forage for food alone, rather than in groups. Living alone allows them to have their own territory and resources without competition from other individuals. **

The lower classifications of rodents include the following groups: - Order: Rodentia - Suborder: Myomorpha (mice, rats, voles, hamsters, gerbils) - Suborder: Sciuromorpha (squirrels, chipmunks, marmots) - Suborder: Hystricomorpha (guinea pigs, capybaras, porcupines) - Suborder: Anomaluromorpha (scaly-tailed squirrels, springhares) - Suborder: Castorimorpha (beavers) - Suborder: Geomyoidea (pocket gophers) - Suborder: Dipodoidea (jerboas, jumping mice) - Suborder: Myodonta (dormice) - Suborder: Ctenohystrica (African mole-rats, bamboo rats) **

Sound itself is not toxic to rodents, but loud noises can cause stress and discomfort to them. Prolonged exposure to loud sounds can lead to health issues and behavioral changes in rodents. It is important to provide a quiet and comfortable environment for rodents to ensure their well-being. **

Some rodents that are not nocturnal include squirrels, chipmunks, and some species of ground squirrels. These rodents are diurnal, meaning they are most active during the day. They have adapted to forage for food, build nests, and engage in social interactions during daylight hours. This is in contrast to nocturnal rodents, such as mice, rats, and hamsters, which are most active at night. **

Platypuses are neither birds nor rodents. They are actually a unique type of mammal known as monotremes. Monotremes are a group of mammals that lay eggs instead of giving birth to live young, and the platypus is one of only five species of monotremes in the world. So, while they may have some bird-like and rodent-like characteristics, they are their own distinct group of animals. **

Rodents can be kept in a variety of enclosures such as glass aquariums, wire cages, or plastic bins. It's important to provide them with a secure and well-ventilated space that is large enough for them to move around and explore. Additionally, rodents need bedding material, hiding spots, and toys to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. Regular cleaning and maintenance of their enclosure is also crucial for their health and well-being. Finally, providing a balanced diet and access to fresh water is essential for keeping rodents healthy. **

Yes, there are online shops that specialize in selling rodents and other small animals, and they do send them by mail. These shops often have specific guidelines and regulations for shipping live animals to ensure their safety and well-being during transit. Customers can purchase rodents such as hamsters, gerbils, and mice from these online shops and have them delivered to their doorstep. However, it's important for both the seller and the buyer to adhere to animal welfare standards and regulations when shipping live animals. **

I keep my rodents in a spacious cage with plenty of bedding for burrowing and nesting. I provide them with a variety of toys and items to climb on to keep them mentally stimulated. I also make sure to clean their cage regularly and provide them with fresh food and water daily. Additionally, I give them time outside of their cage to explore and exercise in a safe, rodent-proofed area. **
